How to scan documents using an Android phone

How to scan with App from Google Play Store

Step 1: Download a scanning app.

First, you need to download a scanning app. There are many free scanning apps available in the Google Play Store, including CamScanner, Adobe Scan, and Microsoft Office Lens. Choose one that fits your needs and install it on your phone.

Step 2: Open the scanning app.

Once you have installed the app, open it on your phone. You will be prompted to grant the app access to your camera and storage.

Step 3: Place the document on a flat surface.

Place the document you want to scan on a flat surface with good lighting. It’s important to make sure the document is flat and not wrinkled to get the best scan possible.

Step 4: Capture the image.

Position your phone’s camera over the document and tap the capture button in the app to take a picture of the document. Make sure the entire document is in the frame and the edges are visible.

Step 5: Edit the image (if necessary).

After capturing the image, you may need to edit it. Most scanning apps have features to crop, rotate, or adjust the color and contrast of the scanned image to make it look better. You can also adjust the resolution of the scan to make it clearer.

Step 6: Save the scanned document.

Once you are satisfied with the scanned image, save it to your phone’s storage. Most scanning apps allow you to save the scanned image as a PDF, JPEG, or other file format. Choose the one that suits your needs and save the file to your phone.

Step 7: Organize your scanned documents.

To keep your scanned documents organized, create a folder on your phone and name it something like “scanned documents.” Save all your scanned documents to this folder, and you’ll be able to easily find them later.
