Do I need a Power of Attorney if I already have a Will?

Even if you have a Will, you should probably have a durable power of attorney as well. Many people are confused by the fact that a Will only becomes effective at the time of death. And even though a person may be named executor or personal representative in your Will, that does not give them any power to act prior to your death. A durable power of attorney is the tool that you would need to do that.
